Northgate Baptist and Food For the Hungry

Northgate Baptist partners with Food For the Hungry and a small village called Marare, in Uganda, to help them become a self sustainable community. From building classrooms, supporting entrepreneurship and leadership skills, to sponsoring children from the community, we hope to help transform Marare to the point where they can help themselves as well as neighbouring communities.

Support: 'Keep the Clean Water Clean'

2012 Marare Christmas Project: Keep the Clean Water Clean!
Goal: to raise funds ($2500) for the materials needed to fence the central compound area in Marare – this includes the schools, church, field, new well, and cook house. Objective: keep the animals and other unwanted traffic from flowing into the area, as they often leave their animal feces behind. This is contra- effective to the community’s priority of improving hygiene in the village. How can you help: Drop your bills, cheques, or loose change in the water bottle every Sunday after church, and at other events. Please make out cheques to ‘Northgate Baptist Church’, and specify ‘Marare’ in the subject line.
